Alaskan-born musician Cooper White was inspired to create this act by performing with DJs on cruise ships and realizing what was possible. It incorporates house tracks with original beats and hip-hop and latin influences while using live improvised looping on sax, bass, flute, harmonica and keyboards. It draws largely from soul and funk, as well as the improvisational aspect of jazz. This act was performed on the Norwegian Escape cruise ship as well as Blue Kay Resort in Quintana Roo Mexico. Great for a party, or lounge environment.
Cooper White grew up learning lots of instruments and was inspired by the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival. He received a partial scholarship to the Berklee College of Music, and following Berklee he travelled around the US and the world performing while basing himself out of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was able to visit 70 countries and all 7 continents. He toured around the US with a reggae band opening for many large acts, and performed on most major cruise lines as well as yachts. He was a performer in For The Record: Live’s The Brat Pack and performed in Broadway’s After Midnight. He had his own dinner theatre show entitled A Public Saxophone and Other Bedtime Stories.
